The people who had gone missing yesterday in the Geghama mountain range of Armenia have been found.

On November 21, at 9:27pm, the 911 emergency hotline was reported that two people had gone toward Mount Azdahak, but it had become impossible to get in touch with them for a long time.

A rescue team and two special rescue squads left for the scene.

At about 9:30am the next day, a helicopter was also deployed to assist with the search.

And as of 9:40am, contact was able to be made with the missing people.

Sometime thereafter, the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that they had already been found and helicoptered to Yerevan.

As reported earlier, Gegham Ohanyan, an activist and head of a hiking club, had gone missing in the Geghama mountain range. Ohanyan and his companions were in a car, wishing to reach Martuni town from Geghard via the Geghama mountains.
