Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called on Iranian protesters to send footage proving that the regime is using force against demonstrators.

“I have asked the Iranian protestors to send us their videos, photos, and information documenting the regime’s crackdown on protestors. The U.S. will expose and sanction the abuses,” he tweeted.

He also tweeted a similar statement in Farsi urging Iranians to send materials via Telegram.  

On November 15, a government order came into force in Iran to double the price of gasoline from $0.09 to around $0.2 per liter. Protesters clashed with police in several cities of the country. Riots were recorded in hundreds of settlements. According to local and Western media reports, 12 to 30 people died, dozens were injured and injured.

Internet access was almost completely blocked on November 16 after a wave of protests.
