YEREVAN. – The South Caucasus Railway (SCR) employees who went on strike will not be dismissed. South Caucasus Railways CJSC issued a statement in this regard, stating that a meeting was held on the events that occurred recently at SCR.

And regarding these events, when locomotive brigades did not go out to work, it was noted that no disciplinary penalties would be imposed on these SCR employees.

As per the statement, considering that the majority of employees have been deliberately misled, the company will not exercise its right to fire the 93 employees who have violated Armenian law.

However, in case of a repeat of violations, the company reserves the right to apply the existing legislative norms, including dismissal.

The company also confirms the increase of salaries of all South Caucasian Railway employees by 10% as of November 1.
