Hackers of the European police agency Europol, together with experts from the Belgian Federal Police, carried out a successful cyber attack on the Internet resource of the ISIS the so-called Amaq news agency, RTBF channel reported referring to sources in the Belgian special services, TASS said.

According to him, the operation was carried out on November 21-22. As a result, it was possible to block several thousand accounts associated with this resource.

Amaq was already able to stop the activity in 2018, but the ISIS managed to resume the work of its information resource within a few months.

Information sites related to ISIS in the EU and the US are included in the list of prohibited resources to be blocked.
