Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today held a consultation over the course of and problems with introduction of a new procedure for food supply in the Armed Forces of Armenia with Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan, Deputy Minister Makar Ghambaryan, representatives of the private sector engaged in the new procedure for food supply and other officers, reports the news department of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

“As we had agreed, we will discuss issues related to the new procedure for supplying food to the army again. We discuss this often because the government attaches great importance to this procedure. After all, this is a revolutionary change in the Armed Forces. It is clear that such large-scale reforms need to be made very seriously and carefully. Of course, this is one of the items on the agenda during my discussions with the defense minister, and these consultations are important so that we move forward with the timetable that we have set for ourselves,” Prime Minister Pashinyan stated.

Afterwards, the defense minister reported on the current situation concerning the new procedure for food supply and mentioned that the procedure has already been introduced in nearly three dozens of military units. He emphasized that servicemen have already given positive feedback and touched upon the pilot project, the problems with the provided services and the options and opportunities to solve them.

The Prime Minister attached importance to the transparency of the process and the supply of quality food to the army and emphasized that misuse must be ruled out.
