Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan today received European Commission Director for Neighborhood East Lawrence Meredith and Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia of the European External Action Service Luke Devine, reports the news service of the Government of Armenia.

Greeting the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister attached importance to the cooperation with the European Union and touched upon the implementation of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan also mentioned the achievements made within the scope of bilateral cooperation and emphasized that the documents drafted within the scope of the 2019 Action Plan are already being finalized and that the main areas of the 2020 Action Plan have already been agreed upon.

Lawrence Meredith and Luke Devine expressed gratitude for the reception and emphasized that the EU will continue to provide hands-on assistance to the Armenian government’s reforms. With satisfaction, Luke Devine highlighted the fruitful work of the Armenian government officials during coordination of the activities with the EU, and Lawrence Meredith stated that the EU is interested in providing support in the areas of justice, education and high technologies and to identify economic potential.
