YEREVAN. – There will be no complete solving of the April events without listening to [third President] Serzh Sargsyan. Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly  (NA) of Armenia majority My Step faction and Chairs of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security and of the NA Inquiry Committee for Examining the Circumstances of the Military Activities of April 2016, stated this in a conversation with reporters at the parliament today.

"It is obvious that Serzh Sargsyan will be called [to the April 2016 committee]," he said. “There are concerns that they will be called anyway and they should be ready to come. No to come is their right; the committee has no right to force anyone [to come]. But so far, no member of the military has refused. We work in harmony. Whether they come or not, I don't know, but if they don't, we have no restraint in asking our questions. Not coming to a committee that is dedicated to discovering the truth will be a very serious political responsibility."

"It's not just the Armed Forces," Kocharyan added. "We are going to send invitations to other law enforcement agencies that would then have had the information we are interested in."
