As a result of Pashinyan’s policy of “sovereignty and pride”, on November 2, 2018, Armenia was deprived of the position of Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. This is what Spokesperson of the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov wrote on his Facebook page.

He also stated the following: “It is strange that today the Prime Minister of Armenia is already “boasting”, saying that the Collective Security Treaty Organization has unanimously decided to approve Belarus’s representative as the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization starting from January 1, 2020.

P.S.: A year ago, Nikol Pashinyan was declaring in parliament that he was going to do everything possible to defend Armenia’s state interest and to make sure Armenia maintains the position of Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

This was yet another false promise.”
