Armenia is trying to adopt certain norms, which Europe has long rejected, considering them erroneous, said Armenian first Ombudswoman Larisa Alaverdyan at the international conference on democracy and conflict prevention in society on Friday.

According to her, Armenia is at the stage of post-totalitarianism, but strives for post-modernism, which is in crisis in Europe.

“There is no single, universal model that can be applied to all societies. It is always important to take into account the realities of the state where one or another model of reform is applied, and the readiness of society for change. It is also important to work to improve the political culture, otherwise we will not only not solve the problems, but also create new ones,” she said.
