YEREVAN. – On November 29, Armenia's Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Arman Tatoyan received a delegation led by Anna Rurka, President of the Conference of International Non-governmental Organizations (INGOs) of the Council of Europe (CoE).

Tatoyan touched upon the human rights situation in Armenia, the respective activities and work of the Ombudsman, and cooperation, the Ombudsman's office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Rurka, in her turn, emphasized the importance of effective cooperation between the Human Rights Defender and civil society in terms of enhancing their role and capacity building.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached new agreements on cooperation.
