We have no obstacle to get to Europe. We also have free, duty-free circulation in the EEU territory. Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan said this in a conversation with journalists today during the official opening of the new workshop of the ADM Diamonds company in Abovyan, Armenia.

According to him, Armenia has made a lot of progress in jewelry, which is the result of cooperation in recent months. "An agreement has been signed with the [other] EEU countries on mutual recognition of taxing seals, which will soon be ratified by all national authorities," he said. "Immediately afterwards, jewelry products produced in Armenia can be circulated in the EEU markets with the Armenian taxing seals."

He expressed confidence that Armenia will be able to regain its position in the diamond industry.

The Minister also referred to the increase of business loans, noting: “It is economic activity that drives the financial sector. That is, our producers are acquiring new markets. This year we have seen a 7.1% increase in economic activity over the past 10 months. They are the very engines that have created favorable conditions for financial intermediation. In 9 months, financial intermediation grew by more than 20 percent in the GDP."
