Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy.

The meeting was also attended by US Vice Ambassador Christopher Smith and Director of the Armenian Mission of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Deborah Grieser.

The Vice PM highlighted the importance of cooperation created in a constructive atmosphere with USAID and importance of applying expert potential within programs in the process of developing sectoral strategies of Armenia.

US Ambassador, in turn, noted that the US government supports the democratic and economic reforms and the anti-corruption agenda of Armenia. 

With 40% increase in US support this year, they are ready to help implement those programs that stem from the priorities established by the Armenian government regarding reforms, she added.

During the meeting, the sides discussed justice and police reforms, touched upon existing problems and the need for ideological reforms.
