Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan received Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Monday, government’s press service reported.

The PM attached particular importance to deepening economic ties and implementing joint investment programs in individual sectors, including in the areas of information technology, healthcare, and tourism.

The FM expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and added that his country also attaches importance to the development and expansion of diversified relations with Armenia.

The sides highlighted the importance of organizing mutual visits at a high level, substantive discussion of mutually beneficial issues and also touched upon regional topics, and highlighted the importance of ensuring stability and security, and peaceful settlement of conflicts. Nikol Pashinyan considered it unacceptable to give the Karabakh conflict a religious character and to present it in this context at various international venues. Agreeing with the PM’s observation, the Jordanian FM noted the importance of resolving the Karabakh conflict through peaceful talks.
