The paint-covered statue of Alexander Griboyedov in Yerevan has been cleaned. Hovsep Kubatyan, Head of Information and Public Relations Department of Yerevan Municipality, stated this on his Facebook page.

"As the Kentron administrative district has a new head, the solution was not delayed," he added, in particular.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am had earlier reported, Shahen Harutyunyan, the son of the leader of Tseghakron Party Shant Harutyunyan, posted on his Facebook page a photo showing a part of the statue of Russian writer Alexander Griboyedov painted in red.
