YEREVAN. – An airline has already submitted a request for consideration to the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia for the right to become a national air carrier. Committee chair Tatevik Revazian said this on December 3, during the National Assembly debates on the bill on making amendments to the law on state duty.

She then presented the bill under discussion, which proposes to grant tax breaks to new and already existing airlines operating in Armenia if they open new tourist destinations. The point is, in particular, the cancelation of the "air tax," which was later included in the airline ticket prices in Armenia.

These tax breaks will be given to airlines for 3 years. According to Revazian, this will allow to increase the investment attractiveness of and create new jobs in Armenia.
