His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Deval at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
Greeting the Ambassador, His Holiness Karekin II touched upon the historically friendly ties between the two nations and attached great importance to the operation and mission of the Armenian Humanitarian College of Calcutta, stating that it serves as a unique bridge for the strengthening of the relations between the two countries.
The Ambassador touched upon the historical ties between India and Armenia, the historical presence of the Armenians in India and the impact that they have had, particularly on education in India. He also talked about Indian-Armenian political relations and upcoming programs.
During the meeting, His Holiness Karekin II asked the Ambassador about the life of Indians in Armenia and particularly the young Indians studying at Armenian universities. They touched upon the various programs that the Indian embassy is carrying out in Armenia.
