NATO is ready to respond to military threats from China, and it is a fundamentally new task for the alliance, previously aimed only at deterring the Soviet Union and Russia, said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

His remarks came following a meeting with US President Donald Trump ahead of alliance summit in London, TASS reported.

According to him, NATO is ready to respond to military threats from China.

He added that they are not going to move NATO to the South China Sea, but they must jointly respond to threats from China, including in cyberspace.
