Tehran is still ready for talks with Washington, but the US must lift the sanctions, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said on Wednesday.

According to him, as soon as the US lifts its tyrannical, illegal, erroneous, and terrorist sanctions, immediately after this the heads of the 5 + 1 group of states can meet, RIA Novosti reported.

He noted he was ready for talks even in an hour, but only in case of lifting the sanctions.

In May 2018, the US announced a unilateral withdrawal from it and the restoration of stringent sanctions against the Iran. Iran, in turn, announced a phased reduction of its obligations under the agreement.

The Islamic State for the fourth time refused to fulfill its obligations on November 6 under a nuclear deal from which the US had previously withdrawn and restored sanctions against Tehran, began using centrifuges to enrich uranium at a facility in Fordo, while a nuclear deal suggests that the complex in Natanz will sole for such purposes.
