Former Executive director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, Are Vardanyan has been released on bail for AMD 10 million.

After leaving the pre-trial detention center, Vardanyan told Armenian News - NEWS.am that everything was very good in the pre-trial detention center.

Ara Vardanyan said that he is no connection with charges brought against him.

According to him, he remains in politics.

“I am sure that I will have speeches soon,” he addd.

His lawyer Ervand Varosyan told Armenian News - NEWS.am that their further steps will be connected with the course of the preliminary investigation.

On October 9, Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Executive director Ara Vardanyan was charged with embezzlement. The pretext for the indictment was that the products of one of the companies subject to the fund were not supplied to the addressees. According to a decision by the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, Vardanyan was remanded into custody.

Ara Vardanyan did not plead guilty, claiming that he was being politically persecuted.
