YEREVAN. – At its meeting today, the government approved the Work, Armenia! strategy, its scope of activities, and financial assessment.

The program was presented by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, who noted that the strategy sets out priorities for reforms in the employment sector.

In his words, according to official data, in 2018 labor resources in Armenia make up 68 percent of the country’s population, of which 57 percent are economically active, and 20.4 percent of the economically active population is unemployed.

The three areas of this strategy are human capital development, employment promotion, and institutional reform.

This strategy also envisages a pilot-program training for conscripts of the military units that are not included in combat duty at the frontline.
