US police are testing non-lethal weapons to apprehend criminals. The engineers of the Arizona company Wrap Technologies came up with the device.

BolaWrap 100 is charged with a disposable cartridge that contains a 38-gauge blank cartridge and a 2.4-meter Kevlar cord with metal teeth at both ends, HighTech + reported referring to New Atlas.

When a suspect tries to escape from the scene, attacks or behaves dangerously, a police officer can shoot him from BolaWrap.

Pressing the trigger starts a charge flying at a speed of 150 m / s up to a distance of 7.6 meters. The cord wraps around the victim's limbs one to three times. The suspect either falls, unable to take a step, or cannot move his hands, and police officers can detain the offender without endangering anyone's health.

It takes three to eight seconds to charge a new cartridge.
