The talks over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict showed that Azerbaijan hasn’t changed its attitude towards Armenia. This is what Head of the Chair of Iranian Studies at Yerevan State University Vardan Voskanyan told journalists today.

According to him, Armenia has to become a mouthpiece for indigenous peoples of the region and take those peoples under its protection, taking into consideration its interests. “The conscious sons of those nations view Armenia as an ally. Azerbaijan is overtly showing hostility towards Armenia. There have been a lot of talks about preparing the populations for peace. I believe Armenia is ready to sign a peace pact with the indigenous peoples of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The representatives of those indigenous peoples visit Yerevan and prove that they are ready to create the atmosphere of peace, regardless of Baku’s anti-Armenian propaganda,” Vardan Voskanyan noted.
