Today, local self-government elections are being held in 16 communities of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk and Shirak Provinces of Armenia (regular elections in 12 communities and snap elections in 4 communities). Out of all these communities, 12 are holding elections for head of community, while 4 are holding elections for member of council of elders.

At 8 a.m. all 19 polling stations were opened and the first voters were received as prescribed by the Electoral Code of Armenia.

The number of voters according to communities will be posted on the official website of the Central Electoral Commission every three hours starting from 12:00.
