Deputies of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly Artur Dallakyan, Artyom Tsarukyan and Artur Grigoryan have undertaken a legislative initiative. The package of legislative amendments envisages eradicating compulsory technical inspection in order to rule out incompleteness of the latter and potential corruption transactions.

The package of bills also envisages reducing the amount of environmental tax prescribed by the Tax Code for vehicles registered in Armenia and setting a new rate conditioned by the type of fuel of the vehicle, and the justification is that contamination of the atmospheric air is directly interconnected with the type of fuel.

There will also be a new type of tax, that is, a road tax for using the roads of Armenia with any vehicle registered (record-registered) in Armenia in order to gear the levied taxes towards improvement and expansion of road construction works.
