The authorities of the Moscow maternity hospital No. 27 in Russia have been dismissed after complaints from patients, RIA Novosti reported referring to the capital’s health department.

According to the statement, a decision has been made to dismiss Marina Sarmosyan, the head of the branch of the maternity hospital, as well to dismiss the heads of all the maternity hospital departments amid complaints of patients .

According to TASS, the court arrested Marina Sarmosyan in the case of inappropriate medical assistance to women in labor.

“The court granted the request of the investigation and chose a detention as preventive measure in respect of Sarmosyan,” the source said.

Woman giving birth in this hospital was widely discussed in social medias. According to her, despite the absence of any pathologies during pregnancy, the baby was born with multiple injuries due to a series of medical errors, including an overdose of painkillers and the use of a number of aggressive tactics, as extrusion and vacuum. The child received cerebral edema, clinical death was recorded, the baby survived, but has been left disabled.
