YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Cabinet held a consultation today on spending and revenue performance of the state budget this year, as well as on the things to do along the lines of the 2020 budget.

Reference was made, in particular, to the steps toward abandoning the practice of the current 100% down payment in the public procurement system. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of consistent work in this direction, and instructed the heads of public administration bodies to organize public procurement on this very principle.

The head of government also stressed the importance of ensuring budgetary discipline by state bodies, and instructed ministers and heads of state agencies to submit a roadmap for 2020 on capital expenditure and related projects as soon as possible.
