A robbery took place yesterday in Yerevan, according to Shamshyan.com.

At about 6:15pm,  police received a call from a hospital that a person with a cut in his left thigh was brought to the hospital.

The police officers who went to the hospital found out that the injured was Russian citizen, Ivan F., 21.

While hospital doctors were fighting for the injured man's life, police found out that around 8am on the same day, Russian citizens Daniel Kristian S., 22, and Nikolay R., 22, had beaten Ivan F. in a downtown Yerevan apartment, tied his hands and feet, and threatened to stab him if he did not transfer $2,000 from his account to their account. Subsequently, they had stolen Ivan F.'s laptop, cellphone, and wallet which contained about 150,000 Armenian drams and 30 Georgian laris.

According to preliminary information, Ivan F. was stabbed by Nikolay R., and then the suspects fled, leaving him tied.

Reports are being prepared on the incident.

Police are seeking the suspects and the stolen items.
