YEREVAN. – The word "manipulation" has been coined by some as something like a Lord's Prayer, and whatever the opposition is saying, you say, "you are manipulating." Opposition Prosperous Armenia faction MP Gevorg Petrosyan said this today during the second reading debates on the bill on introducing an early pension system for the serving judges of the Constitutional Court (CC).

"Let's not lose respect for each other; you say your opinion, we—ours,” he said. ‘“Manipulation’ is that Article 88 (4) of the [law on] Constitutional Court is being deformed here where it provides specific grounds for a resignation in respect of a medical condition, whereas there is no question of a medical condition here; this is a legislative initiative driven by political motives."
