Former Artsakh Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan commented on the claims of participation of the NKR military in the March 1, 2008 events in Yerevan.

At a December 11 press conference, the former Prime Minister, and now the leader of the Free Homeland party and the Artsakh presidential candidate, commented on claims that the Karabakh military had participated in the tragic events of March 1, 2008.

Harutyunyan officially denied "bringing in the military," saying "no troops were brought from Artsakh." But at the same time, it turned out that the relocation of troops does not mean "bringing in troops." As a result, Harutyunyan confirmed the presence of some units of the Artsakh Defense Army in the Armenian capital city on that day.

In response to a question about his own stance on what happened in those days, Arayik Harutyunyan stated that the subordination does not allow discussing the validity of the orders.
