Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted to impose sanctions against Turkey.

Committee members voted in favor of the resolution 18-4 to send the bipartisan measure to full Senate.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed its own Turkey sanctions legislation in October in the wake of Turkey's military operation in Syria.
