Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, who is on a working visit to Qatar, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Qatar Khalid bin Mohammed al Attiyah on Saturday, President's press service reported.

Issues related to strengthening ties and developing relations between the two countries were discussed during the meeting. There is great potential for cooperation in a number of areas. The prospects of cooperation in the scientific, technical and educational fields and the possibility of implementing joint programs were examined.
