The government of Hong Kong must put an end to the violence and chaos that covered this special administrative district half a year ago and clarify the social issues of the population. This is what Prime Minister of the State Council of China Li Keqiang declared Tuesday when he received head of the Hong Kong regime Kerry Lam in Beijing, reports South China Morning Post.

“Hong Kong still hasn’t overcome the hardships. The city’s government should continue its efforts to put an end to the violence and chaos and reinstate order in accordance with the law,” he said.

Li Keqiang also emphasized the need for a thorough study of the “deeply rooted social conflicts and issues” in the public of Hong Kong, as well as the need to ensure long-term prosperity and stability in the megapolis
