The Yerevan Court of First Instance of Armenia has today rescheduled the hearing of the case of second President Robert Kocharyan v. businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan. Kocharyan's lawyer Aram Orbelyan told about this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The court hearing has been postponed because Hambardzumyan has hired a new lawyer who has not yet been familiarized the case materials.

The next court hearing was scheduled for January 29, 2020.

The lawsuit was filed by Orbelyan seeks to refute the defamatory information and to confiscate 2 million drams in compensation. The grounds for this lawsuit are the following statement by Silva Hambardzumyan during a press conference on 02.11.2018: "I made a big deal with the Arabs in 2008, and in order not to disturb me, I paid both the President of the Republic, Robert Kocharyan, and..."
