The first stage of a deal between the United States and China on the settlement of trade disputes will be finally agreed within a couple of weeks, US President Donald Trump told reporters.

According to him, the biggest moment is the translation, TASS reported.

He noted that the deal is ready, however, the translation is extremely important.

The US representative at the trade talks, Robert Leitheiser, earlier confirmed Trump agreed to indefinitely refuse to increase customs tariffs on Chinese goods, which was supposed to happen on December 15. He also explained that the deal will be signed in early January, most likely, by trade representatives of both countries, and not by the heads of state, as previously planned. According to Leitheiser, the agreements reached will increase US imports to China by $ 200 billion over a two-year period, as well as reduce the US trade deficit.

The deal, the achievement of which was announced on December 13, is unlimited. According to him, lower US tariffs on Chinese products will take effect 30 days after the signing of the agreement.
