United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres believes the international community needs to expand support to refugees and the hosting countries. This is what Guterres declared at the First Global Refugee Forum in Geneva today, reports TASS.

“The world needs to cooperate and give practical and effective answers [to the questions concerning refugees and their hosting communities] now more than ever,” he said. "The world owes all countries and communities that welcome large numbers of refugees a debt of gratitude," Guterres said, stressing though that "gratitude is not enough."
