YEREVAN. – Aside from Razmik Abrahamyan—Director of Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology (Republican Maternity Hospital) of Armenia—his deputy Arshak Jerjeryan, as well as Liana Karapetyan, Director of Yerevan Children's Home SNCO, also have been detained on suspicion of along the lines of the criminal case which the Investigative Committee is investigating into the cases of illegal adoption of Armenia’s children by foreigners.

A statement by the Investigative Committee in this regard also notes that earlier, charges were brought against a female Yerevan resident, born in 1976, in the aforementioned criminal case.

The investigation continues.
