Washington has taken over 90 different kinds of restrictive measures against Tehran since the unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal in May 2018, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Rouhani added that the situation in the country's economy has stabilized, and economic indicators are improving, TASS reported.

The President noted that Iran has been under US sanctions for four decades.

Now the Americans have introduced the most severe restrictive measures, seeking to paralyze or destroy the Islamic republic, he said adding that reforms are underway and a budget that is independent of oil has been submitted to the Iranian parliament.

The situation in the Iranian economy worsened after the unilateral withdrawal of the US from a nuclear deal in May 2018 and the return of sanctions against Iran. Washington repeatedly introduced new restrictive measures against Tehran. The last such step was taken on December 11, when the US Treasury expanded the list of sanctions on Iran, adding to it one citizen of this country, two ships flying the Iranian flag, as well as several companies.
