I would like to know why ex-Prime Minister of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Arayik Harutyunyan suddenly decided to run in the presidential elections when, in the beginning, he said he was going to become the president of the National Assembly. This is what political technologist Armen Badalyan told journalists today.

“Was there a ‘barter’ between the internal and external forces? Was there an instruction to let current foreign minister of Artsakh Masis Mayilyan run in the elections until the end? From the perspective of the development of political processes, Armenia and Artsakh are in the same system, and so everything needs to be taken into consideration as a complex,” he stated.

Former Prime Minister of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan and incumbent foreign minister Masis Mayilyan will be running in the presidential elections in Artsakh in 2020.
