This year, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) maintained the dynamic growth of its economy. Based on forecasts, the growth of the GDP for the year 2019 will be over 9%, while the total volume of the GDP will be nearly AMD 341,000,000,000. This is what President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan stated in his speech during the joint session of the Security Councils of Armenia and Artsakh today.

He particularly touched upon the social-economic situation in Artsakh and stated the following: “In 2020, the volume of the GDP is expected to exceed AMD 375,000,000. Overall, the pace of sustainable development remained the same in the major branches of economy. Artsakh will be carrying out several large-scale projects in the spheres of home construction, agriculture, tourism, infrastructures and more. Some projects are quite pretentious, but we hope to implement them. I deem it necessary to emphasize that the Republic of Armenia and its active and ongoing support are one of the major guarantors of Artsakh’s economic development.”
