Those who came to power after the so-called revolution are populists and Neoliberals who are destroying the foundations of our country, that is, democracy and national ideas. This is what President of “Vernatun” public-political club Vazgen Manukyan said during public discussions today.

“Populists cause harm to democracy by referring to those who don’t share their views as enemies of the people. They also aspire to seize all branches of powers, including the judicial branch. Populists always believe their power can’t be transferred to anyone else,” he emphasized.

Manukyan stated that Nikol Pashinyan currently has the power that no other leader has had in the history of independent Armenia.

“As far as Neoliberalism is concerned, in Armenia it is represented by several NGOs that receive grants from abroad and advocate anti-national ideas. Thus, the populists and Neoliberals who came to power in Armenia are destroying the foundations of our country, that is, democracy and national ideas,” Manukyan concluded.
