Official visit of Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan to Iran is over.

The first meeting of the Armenian-Iranian working group on labor and social affairs was held in Iran on December 22-25, and to sign the joint action plan on labor and social affairs, and to discuss and clarify the directions of bilateral sectoral cooperation.

During the meetings with her Iranian counterparts, the Minister expressed conviction that this visit is a good opportunity to give new impetus to cooperation in the field of labor and social protection, to get acquainted with best practices and innovative initiatives, and to promote constructive dialogue between the two countries.

Batoyan noted that the signing of the aforesaid joint action plan would be an additional and powerful impetus for strengthening institutional cooperation on an institutional basis and for expanding ties.

The said joint action plan foresees cooperation in technical and professional training, labor, employment and social security.
