Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today received the relatives of serviceman Artur Ajamyan, who was killed while serving in the Defense Army of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) on December 2, 2019. Before the meeting, the relatives were holding a protest in front of the government building.

The Prime Minister listened to the relatives and said the following: “A tragedy has happened. A criminal case has been instituted under an article of murder of two or more persons, an investigation is underway and will show what happened. The government will do everything it can to make sure the investigation is objective.”

The relatives claimed that they haven’t received any information about the reason for Ajamyan’s death for over 20 days.

The Prime Minister assigned his assistant Nairi Sargsyan to bring him a statement of information of the Investigative Committee stating the data that don’t serve as a secret for preliminary investigation, after which Nairi Sargsyan will contact the relatives.

Since early morning, the relatives had been protesting in front of the government building with the demand for a meeting with the Prime Minister and had closed a street twice as a sign of protest.
