YEREVAN. – Those in power now are the people we know how they feel toward our family, how they have felt for years, and they have all the leverage to check all those allegations against us. Levon Kocharyan, younger son of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan, told this to 168.аm newspaper’s program, referring to the rumors about the 4bn wealth belonging to their family.

According to him, the prime minister used to say that Robert Kocharyan had organized "March 1" to keep his 4 billion. "The best proof that all this is not true is the last 1.5-2 years."

According to Levon Kocharyan, his father's position had greatly restricted them in choosing a job, too.

"We would not enter the state system, it would not be perceived correctly," he explained. “The only thing left was to do business. My father's post has greatly reduced the list for us to deal with in some areas because it would be interpreted differently. In many cases, what we have taken is a value created from scratch, and none of us has taken things from the state with pennies."
