During his visit to Gyumri on December 27, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid an unplanned visit to the State Revenue Committee (SRC) External Economic Activity Service Center. The head of the government got acquainted with the customs clearance of the cars there, talked to car importers, and listened to the questions and concerns raised by them.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister instructed those in charge to introduce the necessary system of regulating the queues in order to solve the existing respective problems.

Also, Pashinyan instructed the SRC and Police officials and suggested to the governor of the Central Bank to increase the number of their service staff. As a result, an operative decision was made.

"Starting today, the Gyumri auto customs office will work around the clock, until at least December 31," the Prime Minister said.

The head of government also toured the center's construction site. Those in charge reported that construction there is proceeding at a high pace and will continue during the winter months, too.
