Our political team believes Armenia’s opposition needs to take advantage of all the opportunities that are offered. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared during a parliamentary session today, talking about the situation where the ruling My Step faction is sabotaging the parliamentary opposition’s initiative to set up a parliamentary probe committee to explore the corruption risks at Yerevan Municipality.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that, in accordance with rules and regulations, the Council of Elders of Yerevan has all the powers to set up a probe committee, if necessary. According to him, the My Step faction of the Council of Elders of Yerevan yesterday conducted a legal analysis and came to the conclusion that the Council of Elders has to deal with this issue.
