Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan today held phone talks with the newly appointed Armenian minister of social affairs of Lebanon and expressed willingness for cooperation in the specified sectors.

Hayrapetyan stated that Vartine Ohanian is the first Armenian woman minister in contemporary Lebanese history and was nominated by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun political party.

The chair of the parliamentary committee also held phone talks with the already former minister of social affairs of Lebanon Richard Kouyoumjian and expressed gratitude for the contributions he has made to the promotion of partnership between Armenia and Lebanon during his term of office.
