French Armenian politician and environmentalist Jeanne Barseghian, 39, intends to run for mayor of Strasbourg, France.

She leads the respective list of the Ecology: Greens party, which achieved good results in the May 2019 municipal elections.

Barseghian's main agenda is the fight against climate change and inequality.

Strasbourg city elections will be held March 15-22. So far eight people have announced their candidacy for mayor.
