Clashes have been occured between the World Economic Forum opponents in Zurich and the police.

Law enforcement officers used tear gas, water cannons and rubber bullets, Swiss police said.

According to it, radically-minded demonstrators lit fires and threw bottles at police officers, Deutsche Welle reported.

Three people were detained. One of the passers-by received burns, and a policeman was injured, both were hospitalized.

The annual Davos Forum is scheduled to be held from January 21 to 24. There are reportedly 3,000 officials from 117 countries.  US President Donald Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and eco-activist Greta Thunberg are among those present.
