The Police of Armenia have issued a statement on the incident recorded at Erebuni Plaza hotel in Yerevan.
“At 2:40 p.m. the police received an alarm according to which there was an armed person in Erebuni Plaza hotel. Operational groups of police officers immediately left for the scene of the incident and are performing urgent works. Negotiations are underway. More information will be provided later,” the statement reads.
Shots were fired at Erebuni Plaza hotel in downtown Yerevan.
Police press service told Armenian News-NEWS.am that police officers are currently working at the scene and the respective was received at 2:38pm.
A TV reporter wrote on Facebook that a man with strange behavior had fired shots in the hotel.
