YEREVAN. – The Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia is personally conducting negotiations. At the moment the situation is stable and under control. Ashot Aharonyan, head of the Police Information Department, said this in a briefing with reporters, referring to the shots fired at Erebuni Plaza hotel in downtown Yerevan.

He said that according to preliminary information, there were no affected, and no hostages.

"According to preliminary information, it is about one person," Aharonyan added

Those in the hotel building are also police officers at TV5.

Armenian News-NEWS.am had earlier reported that shots were fired inside Erebuni Plaza.
